Setting up Active Directory Account Management.

Once you have purchased the Active Directory Management component you will need to carry out the following steps

Installation and Configuration

Online Configuration

• Activate the Local Active Directory Account Management Application in the Tile Store of SIMS ID

• Retrieve and set your secure configuration details for your local Active Directory Account Management Services

Local installation

• Install the Active Directory Account Management Application

• Install the Active Directory Account Management Password Handler Application

Online Configuration Continued

Having installed the local components, you can then continue to configure the Active Directory Account Management solution in SIMS ID.

• Set the User Types you wish to automatically provision to your Active Directory

• Set the desired Display Name formatting

• Set the User Name formatting

• Configure any AD Attributes you wish to automatically provision against a user object with SIMS Data

• Optionally set the 'Home' directory mapping and profile path for selected user types

• Configure where in your AD OU structure users and groups should be populated

Activating the Service
