The SIMS ID Active Directory Account Mangement component is a 'paid for' option that extends the provisioning functionality of SIMS ID to your Local Active Directory

The SIMS ID Active Directory Account Mangement is a replacement service for SIMS ID Standard.

• The SIMS ID Active Directory Account Mangement simplifies both the Installation and ongoing configuration of the service compared to SIMS ID standard.
• SIMS ID Active Directory Account Mangement more flexible in terms of the OU structures that it supports
• SIMS ID Active Directory Account Mangement uses the same user and group management screens as SIMS ID meaning you have a single place to manage users and groups removing duplication of tasks

Setting up Active Directory Account Mangement.

Once you have purchased the Active Directory Mangement component you will need to carry out the following steps

Installation and Configuration

Online Configuration

• Activate the Local Active Directory Account Managment Application in the Tile Store of SIMS ID

• Retrieve and set your secure configuration details for your local Active Directory Account Management Services

Local installation

• Install the Active Directory Account Managment Application

• Install the Active Directory Account Managment Password Handler Application

Online Configuration Continued

Having installed the local components you can then continue to configure the Active Directory Account Management solution in SIMS ID.

• Set the User Types you wish to automatically provision to your Active Directory

• Set the desired Display Name formatting

• Set the User Name formatting

• Configure any AD Attributes you wish to automatically provision against a user object with SIMS Data

• Optionally set the 'Home' directory mapping and profile path for selected user types

• Configure where in your AD OU structure users and groups should be populated

Activating the Service

• Activate the Directory Account Management Service

• Perform a one time intial Password Sync
